Eurozone consumer price inflation rate confirmed at 2.0% in July

(Alliance News) - The eurozone inflation rate was unchanged as expected in July, data published by Eurostat confirmed on Wednesday.

The consumer price index was up 2.0% in July from a year before, in line with preliminary data published on August 1 and the same annual inflation rate as in June.

It also was in line with the European Central Bank's inflation target of 2.0%.

On-month, consumer prices remained flat in July, Eurostat confirmed, after rising 0.3% in June from May.
